Barney Lake Cleanup and Berry Whack
A beautiful Friday morning in February for more than 15 volunteers and Land Trust staff to come out and cut back black berry and remove old flagging and trunk protectors from well-established trees and shrubs.  Here we do introductions, get last-minute instructions, and hear the background about this pretty property.
Put on some sturdy gloves, grab a tool of choice, take some big bags to collect the flagging and protectors, and head out!
It takes a while to find a good starting spot .....
.....  but soon enough we get going!
Diggin', pullin' cuttin' and rootin' .....
