Cumberland Creek Trail Work
May 18, 2013
Nine Land Trust staff, board member, family, and volunteers spent a few hours, on a beautiful Saturday, trimming the brush along trails.  We got the job done well in the allotted time!  It is very nice out there in May.

We started by checking on the planting done here at the old house site, and staking some up.  Most look quite well, but there are tent caterpillars in the crab apples!

Meanwhile, Jim worked to make the gate shut better.
Then we took machetes and loppers and headed out along the trail - cutting overhang and blackberries as we go.
You REALLY have to get in to it!
It's high, it's low, and it's straight ahead!  Plenty for all.
We saw a variety of nature  ........
Banana with peanut butter  -  food for champions .....
Thanks everybody - a job well done.
