Utopia - "Student" Tree Planting
March 16, 2016
Almost 50 seventh graders from Sedro Woolly Cascade Middle School came out to this pretty Skagit Land Trust property to plant trees.   It is an outdoor project as part of a year long program they are having with the Skagit Fisheries Enhancement Group.

Plenty of teachers, parents, volunteers and staff from both the Land Trust and Fisheries Enhancement Group.
We all worked hard and well and planted more than 200 of them.  It was tough digging and the plants needed a lot of TLC to get them out of the pots and into the ground.  They will be happy and grow and grow!
A fine place to be on a school day, and with some exciting finds too.  (I missed photoing the snake and all the worms.)
Hatched frog eggs!
Thank you everybody!
