Cumberland Creek Trail Building

August 18, 2017
Nine Land Trust staff and volunteers came out to the pretty Cumberland Creek Conservation Area to do some trail work - continuing a new trail eastward to an overlook of the new channel of the creek.

You know it will be serious work when you see the gear!

The creek is "sub surface" now until the rains begin.  But there are pools here and there.  Very nice interpretive signs on the bridge tell the story of the rerouting of Cumberland Creek into its historic channel through the property.

Some of the work is brushing and smoothing what has been done previously.  Other work is carving the rest of the trail from the underbrush.
