Minkler Lake Planting  January 07, 2017
The land steward, 2 staff persons, and three volunteers came out on this chilly, snowy day to try to get about 100 potted plants into the ground at Minkler Lake.

Here you see the hole drilling, the technique for removing the containers from the frozen root balls, and appropriate garb!
A good two hours of work got the job done!  Thanks everybody.
We worked a bit at whacking back blackberries too.
Cold work getting plenty of soft dirt packed in around the frozen root balls.
Most of the pots were not salvageable!
