In a fine amount of snow, several of us went to Hurn Field to cut back and root out some of the pesky ivy. Even the elk knew you can't see ivy in that snow! But we did find a single tree with a lot on it - and cut it away.
We split into two groups - one went off to look for amphibian eggs. Ours took a delightful walk to the river, finding a meaningful amount of trash to assemble for later take-out. Our Land Steward demonstrated the mess and we took what we could to the car. The ivy will wait.
