Staff, land steward, and volunteers (7 in all) came out to begin removing a LOT of invasive ivy from the ground at this new property. It will take several work parties to get it done, but we did get a good start. Steward Dennis Clark has cut the ivy on the trees - a HUGE job - and so we are slowly getting it back away from them.
The task looks daunting, but everyone just keeps at it.
Coil the long vines and make a pile. Then, into a bag for disposal!
It's not all just drudgery!

These, and two more, were filled in about two hours of work.
All in all it was about 3 hours of work, with breaks. A really good start and a BIG thanks to those who helped.
