Maintenance at Green Rd. Marsh
About 20 folks - staff, land stewards, board members and volunteers - came out to this property on Green Road on a nice January morning.  Our tasks are to remove stakes and tree protectors and to clean out bird boxes.

After introductions and a safety talk we got right to work ....

The protectors and stakes were well hidden and well dug in - we used diggers and clippers to get them.  We got a LOT!

Some folks carried ladders and went up to clean the bird boxes and put in fresh shavings.  One box had these many eggs that appear to have been eaten by an intruder!!!

The posts were stabilized where needed.

Here is when that big field was planted in March of 2015.                                                             And here is what we worked in now - 4 years later.

(For those of us who had to dig to get out the protectors - look at all the mulch that was piled around them!)

Thanks
Everybody!
