Barney Lake Tree Planting

About 12 hearty volunteers and staff from the Land Trust came out on what was to be a rainy morning to plant more trees and shrubs.

But it turned out to be very nice!

This is part of the Barney Lake property and is right along College Way in Mt. Vernon as you head east from town.


A second group of a similar size came out in the afternoon!

for getting around 200 trees in the ground.

Below is looking back toward College Way and the Mt Vernon 7th Day Adventist Church.
We plant down a mowed row.  But a little wiggle good!  

Making good progress - lots of those white protectors added.
​ Also used up some old recycled blue ones.
