Land Trust staff and several volunteers came out to this great property on an early wet Wednesday morning to plant some trees, filling in an area planted over the past few years.
Here we are beginning to gather and then getting oriented with a planting demo.
Trees, shovels, stakes, gloves, protectors and away we go.
Look at all the helpers. They are ALL different in their technique and approach
BUT
They are ALL wet!
And getting a lot of trees in, staked, and protected.
Much of this field was planted during the past 2 or 3 seasons and most of them are doing well, some not.
It is very wet now
On this trip, instead of planting rooted trees in this wet place, we put some willow stakes in and they probably will do fine.
