Samish Island Ivy Pulling, #3

More than 15 people came out for the third effort this year to remove invasive ivy from the Samish Island Heron Nesting site.

Incredible progress is being made and a great time is had by all!

We are taking lots of cardboard to lay the pulled ivy on.  That way it will dry and die and not re-root.

Trees with metal tags have nests in them.  The blue flagging means the number of nests in that tree have been counted during the last census.
