Skagit Land Trust Staff, Board Members, and Volunteers hosted a family-oriented "Natural Skagit" day at the pretty Lyman Slough property east of Sedro-Woolley on Saturday, June 15. Plenty of things to do, treats, and also everyone pitched in to help get rid of a lot of invasive ivy, holly, and blackberry. It was a beautiful day for it.
Here is a group off on a guided nature walk - native plants.
Or - how about some fly-casting instruction and practice?
Bird identification - by sight AND sound.
These adults need to release their inner-child!!!
Trail users come in a variety of ways - family walk ... ... by bicycle.
.... with man's best friend .... ... with a little help.
.... in groups .... ...and on horse-back.
Now, grab a tool and get to work! Every opportunity is well marked.
