A bunch of us took a muddy, boot-sucking slog down that long, long "road" into the Kosbab Slough property along the Skagit River. We were going in to take off as many tree protectors as we could find.
Some have been on trees for several years.
We pulled, cut, tore and dug them off and into big black bags.
Some were these old mesh ones.
Others were the blue ones.
There even a few of the plastic spirals.
Cutting one off.
Digging one out. This area floods and a lot of silt has built up!
