Several volunteer and staff workers came out to Hurn Field on a pretty fine day. Our mission is to cut and pull out an old barbed wire fence that impedes elk traffic and amphibian monitoring access to the slough. We gear up, study the map, get a bit of a path, and head out.
It involves fumbling in the brush and cutting the wire away from the posts ....
