About 30 Land Trust staff and volunteers came out to the pretty Cumberland Creek Conservation Area to do some trail work - mainly clearing out encroaching invasive blackberry. A great way to spend the day after Thanksgiving.
There is the sign-in table with good information, plenty of tools, and a variety of warm drinks.
Choose a tool, get some warm gloves (It is a chilly morning,) spread out along the trail, and get right to it.
Some very nice trail signs guide you throughout the area - it is a big place with lots of trails. There are some conifers that were planted on an old house site several years ago - they are having a hard time getting full and bushy.
