A small but hearty group at the Samish Ochs property gathered to do a variety of maintenance activities.

One was cleaning trash from the long stretch of Upper Samish Rd. that fronts the property.

Thanks everybody!            Lots of good work done.

The county mower had been by recently and exposed a lot of trash and here are several bags full!

The river was very high and active several times this past year.  Lots of bank erosion, including parts of the river-side trail. 

We spent time whacking out a new trail well back from the bank.

Here is work to remove small patches of holly.

Butterfly bush is clumped in several large spots and it is big and well rooted.  We got a start but lots more work needed!

Many very small conifers were planted in the underbrush aeas several years ago.  We spent effort to clip away the shading underbrush to give them more light and hopefully more robust growth.
