Located on a bend in the Skagit River well East of Sedro Woolley, the Cumberland Creek area is important for fish and wildlife. The Skagit Land Trust is actively restoring the diversity of trees and shrubs on this once logged floodplain. On this rainy day, 500 trees and shrubs were planted in about three hours by two Land Trust staffers and six volunteers, including two high school students.
More volunteer work events will be held at Cumberland Creek in the future, so keep watching the Volunteer Events page for details and information..
