Most of the protectors had one or two bamboo stakes with them. They were originally put on the newly planted trees to keep varmints from eating them. From the number of trees growing well, it sure looks like they worked!
The bags got heavier and heavier ..... the crew worked for four hours. Nobody knows how many we picked off. There are quite a few left still!
